Christian Gridelli

Aka @YearbookOfCreeps

Christian Gridelli was born on the dining room rug and spent the next couple of decades as a filmmaker and writer in Chicago. “Thanks” to pandemic creative atrophy, he turned to digital collage under the moniker, Yearbook Of Creeps. What started as art therapy quickly became a new spark and a new identity.

This medium change is Christian’s attempt to return to the joy of creation as play, and to experiment in a vast, new sandbox that embraces the abstract as much as the narrative. Collage also incorporates a lifelong love of digging for buried treasure amongst forgotten ephemera.

Christian’s film background has him continually exploring storytelling and world-building, now whittled down to a single frame rather than twenty-four per second. His love of kitsch keeps things playful, pairing colorful pop with a surreal lens.
